I think that Schine is an amazing example of a classic reader, not a reader to judge or think just reads to read. It seems like she had her ups and down a lot in reading and her expierences through reading made her more aware of what it was she was reading and how it all came together. The rhetoric, i believe wasn't picked up by her at first but later on in her reading expierence. If you can understand the rhetoric of reading you can read anything and everythiny, but if you dont understand the rhetoric of a reading will cannot fully take advantage of it. She gives her personal expierences from reading all types of text and how she feels it has influenced her and how it has made her the reader that she is today.
I think that Schine, being "illiterate" or thinking that she is in a way, in the end made her greatly literate. She talked about how she tried reading something when she was a teen and not understanding it then but going back and reading it again when she was older greatly helped her understanding of the text she was reading. I feel that it grew on her and by reading more and more throughout her life that she grew a knowledge for rhetoric, and didnt fully understand it until she was literate, which was a big accomplishment for her. I think it is a great accomplishment to be able to understand what it is that you are reading because if you understand it, you will understand its purpose, who its intended for and its context inside the reading which is fully understanding RHETORIC!

Selecting A Topic
I caught up to technology about my sophmore year of high school, I didnt have a phone, i pod, or facebook until then and just got a computer of my own at the beginning of first semester. It never really bothered me but, most of my friends had a phone and an ipod, so i wanted one too. I never felt behind becasue of it, i just thought it would be cool to have the stuff they did. It was also nice not to have a phone because I didnt have my mom blowing my phone up, calling me and asking where i was when i didnt come home until 3 am when i was in middle school. having an ipod was a cool thing to have and it still is, but I used my first one alot and loved it, but then i realized i only used it when i was mowing the lawn, or getting ready to wrestle so more than half of a year it was never touched, and i still dont really use my ipod ever and i dont know why i even have it. I think we are influenced buy what the commercials, and the apprearance of the newest technologies, have and what can be seen. We dont really think about if we will really use them and will use it as much as we think we will. Like, when the ipad came out, I thought that it would be fun to have it and cool to play around on but then i thought, will this really do anything for me? i cant just pick this up and carryit with me while i go for a run or walk. Its to damn big and pointless, so there is where the ipod comes in and is a good thing to have but since i dont use either of them ever it doesnt really matter to me. I think that having the technology that we have is great, and we use to our advantage but could we go a day without it? I know i sure can. It gets old hearing everybody make drama and talk about whos facebook status is this and who said what to who on the phone, or in a text. I tired of hearing this shit that technology causes! i dont mind it every once and awhile, but hearing it everyday is tiring for my brain. I think that having the technology and being able to use it is great and i love it but not being up to par on everything is alright with me too, because if i dont get how to use it now, i can always learn from many people and if it is insignificant, i probably will never use it in my daily life.

College Writing
I think the main points that caught my eye were prewriting, writing and rewriting. Because before your write you have to think about what you already know about what it is your writing about, then you need to do research about your topic then you can start writing about the topic you have choosen. When you get writing about the topic you chose, you go into detail and the main points about what it is your writing about. Knowing the rhetoric I think is key when your writing because if you do not know the three main points about rhetoric, your writing will not make sense or feel complete. Context, purpose and audience are the three points of rhetoric. The context is whats in the paper and what will be talked about, such as your point of view, opinion, argument and so on. Purpose is the reason your are writing it for and the audience is who you are writing for. And if one of theses three doesnt fit the paper as a whole, it may not make sense to the reader or the people revising your paper.
