Narrowing Your Topics
I think the activity in class was great. I had done a web design kind of like that before but instead of using topics it was catagories of topics to write about. I felt it brought the topics that you are thinking about writing into a mangaeable number of ideas and kept you focused on what the importance of what you are writing is. The big thing that it did for me is, that it took my big overall idea and broke them down into more focused and concentrated groups, because when i can choose what I want to write about my mind is a blur of ideas and thoughts so i hope this strategy will help, but if not, oh well. I still need some time to think about a topic for my paper because I still have way to many ideas in my head and they all see to be a bust because none of them are plausibly true or could come close to happening.

As a Result
I liked in the beginning how they talked about a student that couldn't put his words together and make sence to others, because i know how that feels. When the sentences in a paper or peice of writing, it makes the paper flow and complete and sounds like it should without confusion when the reader is reading it. I liked how they talked about the "do it yourself" principal on page 108, and gaves keys to, doing it yourself. 1) Using transitions, 2)Adding Postion words, 3)developing certain words and key terms when you write, and 4) repeating yourself with a difference. For the readers the be able to get what your saying and see your point of view in the overall peice, the transitions in the paper are typically in the beginning of a paragraph. And transitions tell the person reading if you are saying what you said before, adding something to it, generalizing it, giving an example and modifing the sentence or paragraph. Transition words are giving in a couple of catagories such as addition, example, elaboration, comparison, contrast, cause and effect and conclusion. I think that there being certain words for different partsof the papers and transitioning between those paragraphs is needed so that the author and writer can ge the best overall outcome of his or her paper and let the reader understand the peice fully.

Introduction to Video Game technology #2
The violence in video games today is just for the game, and put into the game for the affect of a real life situation or even imaginary situations as well, but just becasue it is in the game does it really mean that after having played the game, it will correspond to a real life situation? I dont not think this. I dont becasue after i played the game grand theft auto my heart rate never went down or even changed while playing the game. I was suttle and calm. I have never felt that after i steal a guys car and kill him that i will ever do that in real life or think about it, but just because after doing it in the game I wonder what that would be like in a real life situation. but its a game and not real life, you are in control of your life and a controller is not in charge of your body and what you do, your mind is.
Introduction to Video Game technology #1
After kids are gunned down at the University of Virginia Tech by a student, does the reasoning behind his actions point towards video games? or is it the content of the video games he was playing? Not all video games are violent and graphic, but many are and they are teaching/showing young kids and teenages many skills on how to do things that could be brought to real life very easily.
Topic
I am choosing the topic of violence in video games and how it corresponds to the minds and reactions of people in todays world who play video games. I will cover violent video games to educational video games as best i can to let people understand to my best knowledge of what i think about video game technology, and how it affects the minds of people who play them.
